BSL-2, BSL-2 plus, and Bacteria Lab

Each of the cell culture laboratories is a 180 ft² space dedicated to basic cell culture techniques and cytotoxicity assays. Each laboratory space includes one sink and exceptional bench and drawer space. The rooms are equipped with a total of three Labconco Logic Plus biosafety cabinets, two BVC professional fluid aspiration systems, two Thermo Scientific Heracell VIOS 160i CO2 incubators (37 °C, 5% CO2), a Leica DMIRE2 inverted fluorescent microscope, a Leica tissue culture microscope, a BD Accuri C6 Flow Cytometer, a Beckman Coulter Allegra X-30 high-speed centrifuge, an Omni-Ruptor 4000 sonicator, an EVOS FL imaging system, a Life Technologies Countess II FL Automated Cell Counter, a Thermolyne Locator 8 Plus Cryo Biological Storage System, a refrigerator, VWR heated water bath, microcentrifuges, pipettes, vortexes, computers, and all other basic cell biology supplies. Additionally, the equipment and room for work with bacteria include a Benchmark MyTemp Mini Digital Incubators, GeneMate Incubated Shaker, micro-centrifuges, pipettes, vortex mixers, and all other basic cell biology supplies.
